the most difficult login in the world
I almost could not blog because I was unable to log into blogger. Sad but true. Meredith here from the 13Bit compound. Lakshmi is off to sound post-production so Paul and I can attend to other matters like the robot band, the website and of course blogging. You, dear reader, have not missed much on the food front. Paul and I have been drinking lots of smoothies and eating omlettes from doma. We have been mourning the loss of rue bourbon and miracle grill. I could also talk about the legend of chief greedy one ball, but I'll save that for another post. Paul is guilting me because I said I was going to write a screenplay on Spinoza. I did not think he wanted to make a movie about Spinoza!! But he does, so we will make it a 13Bit venture. That means I will not write a screenplay about Spinoza and during his long 13Bit haitus I will sit around and twiddle my thumbs and go to the bar with my dog.

I'm shushing myself
Tonight we are putting some finishing touches on the script for one of our scenes. Paul was on a roll, typing up a storm, and insulting my spelling of pyjamas. Which he said I spelled like "an old british fart." I was trying to capture the indian heritage of pyjama in the spelling of pyjama. Anyway Paul cannot write when I talk, where as I merely ignore Paul's talking when I write. So I started sushhing. "Dont sush me!" he said.
Not too worry, I'm sushing myself.

"I don't see letters, I see patterns..."
We are writing. It's good. It's going well. It is a back and forth process. We like it a lot. It involves spelling. I have a particular, almost pathological problem with people spelling "paid" as "payed." Everybody does it, including highly intelligent people. Including one of the most intelligent people I know. Anyway, one of us just spelled it that way and we had our recurring, endless 30 second loop of a discussion about how nobody can spell anymore, always with me concluding that we are all doomed because nobody can spell anymore.
This time, I added "But there is no excuse for you, Meredith (whose name means 'High Lord of the Seas,' by the way) because you read so much.
She responded "When I read, I don't see letters, I see patterns."
I lose this round.
